Haley and Jason were married in an early evening ceremony inside the ballroom at the Omni Amelia Island Plantation under a beautiful white chuppah. I have to say that Haley was a bride after my own heart, she had three pairs of shoes for her wedding.

Ken Block and Drew Copeland of Gainesville’s own Sister Hazel band performed songs during the ceremony and again at the reception, treating guests to a live version of their hit “All For You” and more.

Tricia and Brandon were married in an afternoon ceremony at the Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island. The forecast called for a massive rainstorm, so the ceremony was moved indoors.

It turned out that the rain never came and even with that change of plans, the entire day and night was full of smiles, especially from the couple.

Almost a year ago I started on a project with The Cummer Museum of Art and Gardens on a cookbook unlike any other, The Chef’s Canvas. The cookbook pairs works of art from the Cummer’s permanent collection with recipes from Northeast Florida’s best chefs, bartenders, and breweries. Each chef created a recipe inspired by the work of art.

We’re proud to say the book was photographed, designed, edited, compiled and manufactured in sunny Jacksonville, Florida and is available for purchase at thechefscanvas.com and in the Cummer’s shop.
