Wedding: Christy & Mike

Ceremony Grace United Methodist Church
Reception Casa Monica Hotel

Christy and Mike picked a perfect day to get married.Just one night before at the rehearsal dinner the sky was threatening enough rain to carry over and spoil their reception on the spectacular pool deck of the Casa Monica Hotel in St. Augustine, Florida. They had canceled their tent reservation on word that their wedding day would be rain-free. And since Christy and Mike are New Orleans residents I figured they were deserving of a little luck.

After their wedding ceremony at the historic Grace United Methodist Church, the couple led a wedding procession down the street led by a New Orleans-style brass band, holding up traffic that included tourists, locals, and Hollywood movie star Lucy Liu!

I loved photographing all of the details of their wedding, from the lovely church down to the wedding cake made of cupcakes!

Bridal Shoot: Lana

Lana was such a great model!

She could grace the cover of any fashion magazine in her stunning Alvina Valenta dress and natural style.

But getting Lana and the dress together for the shoot proved to be a bit of a challenge.

On the day of the shoot the dress was accidentally left behind, over two hours away from my studio in Jacksonville.

Luckily her sister came to the rescue and met halfway with Lana?「どィび「s dress in Starke and turned around and drove 45 minutes back with the dress in tow.

We had a lot of fun doing the bridal session. First we took some pictures against the backdrop you see above. Next we went across the river to San Marco,
tried out some different locations, and then raced to a quiet out-of-the-way park before sunset.

Lana was dedicated and willing to follow me to some off-beat locations and I think the results were well worth it.

I?「どィび「m hard at work on Lana & Blake?「どィび「s amazing wedding pictures. Stay tuned for those in the next couple of weeks!
