Peter, Arjola and I go way back. I first met them when I photographed Peter’s sister’s wedding back in 2004. I distinctly remember them dancing together and they were so cute and looked so in love.
I saw them again when I photographed Ansley & Jim’s wedding in 2006. Arjola was one of the bridemaids in the wedding. When I saw them at the reception together they were such a loving and affectionate couple I told them jokingly “Call me when you’re ready!”
Then they actually did!
I was so excited when Arjola called me to tell me they were ready to get married on 8/8/08 and wanted me to be their photographer.
After the ceremony at the St. Johns Cathedral downtown we headed to the Cummer Art Museum. While we were taking pictures in the garden it started to rain, however the rain didn’t stop us and we took the opportunity to shoot inside one of the galleries. I think we really captured Arjola’s and Peter’s elegance and love for each other.
