Sarah & Will were married in a private outdoor ceremony at Sarah’s aunt’s home in Amelia Island, FL, under the big oak tree in the pasture at the property.

One of the most colorful and unique weddings I photographed in 2008 is featured this week at Completely Unveiled, the blog of Weddings Unveiled Magazine.
Sarah & Will were married in a private outdoor ceremony at Sarah’s aunt’s home in Amelia Island, FL, under the big oak tree in the pasture at the property.
I had the opportunity to photograph the stunning décor for a dinner party at TPC Sawgrass hosted by Audemars Piguet, a Swiss luxury watchmaker. The florals and design are all courtesy of the fantastic Liza Chung.
The watches were not in the display cases yet because they were under armed guard!

Chary and Chris are both originally from Jacksonville, Florida, but during their wedding planning they realized that with so much family all around the world it just made more sense to shift the event to Las Vegas. I was honored to be chosen as their photographer because not only are they an awesome couple, Chris is the very talented designer who created my logo.
They were married at Guardian Angel Cathedral on the Strip. For a destination wedding it was incredibly well-attended; they had over 200 guests — some from as far as the Philippines and Australia. Chary’s ability to plan from afar and pull off such an amazing, thoughtful, and elegant event was very impressive. Everything down to the tiniest detail was considered: their likenesses on custom M&Ms, coloring books and toys for the kids, and her bouquet which was a replica of her mother’s bridal bouquet from her wedding.
After the wedding we went off to Red Rock Canyon for some portraits of the couple. I absolutely loved that location because there’s nothing like it in Florida!

Elleanor & Nate were absolute dream clients. Not only are they a lovely couple, they have impeccable taste and had a beautiful ceremony and reception planned.
But sometimes even the best laid plans don’t quite work out.
Elleanor’s contact at her original florist had moved away before the wedding, and when she went to check on her flowers the day before the wedding the order was all wrong. Elleanor’s sister and matron of honor Elaine immediately got on the phone calling the florists she knew of in town to make the impossible happen. After a few unsuccessful calls Elaine asked her sister to name her dream florist and Elleanor said Liz Stewart. So they crossed their fingers and made the call.
Liz Stewart Floral Design totally saved the day.
When they told Liz what happened — and even though she was completely booked — she put together amazing arrangements of orchids, roses, peonies, and hydrangeas for the wedding in a single day.
After a very stressful two days for Elleanor and Nate, everything came together for a fantastic wedding.

Brock asked Jennifer to marry him on New Year’s Eve. She accepted and they set their date for one year later: New Year’s Eve 2009.
For their engagement shoot I really wanted to find a location that fit their personalities. Bistro AIX in San Marco turned out to be the perfect spot because it happened to have a room with a gigantic clock on the wall — and it was also the place where Jennifer and Brock had their first date!
I’m really looking forward to ringing in the New Year with Jennifer and Brock.
