Featured at the Casa Monica Hotel’s Wedding Blog

I’m so lucky that I live near one of the most romantic cities in the U.S., St. Augustine, Florida. So many of my past clients have traveled from far away to get married there, with most choosing the Casa Monica Hotel to host their reception .

St. Augustine has brought me couples all the way from Chicago, Arkansas, Miami, New York, and Louisiana. There’s just something about destination weddings to St. Augustine that makes everything much more exciting.

The Casa Monica Hotel recently updated their wedding website launched a blog to showcase their awesome facilities and past events. Some of my past weddings there were featured.

I always love shooting at the Casa Monica. Megan and the staff are always a pleasure to work with. If you’re planning a wedding in St. Augustine check out the Casa Monica’s new blog!

Announcing: Pose Well Studios

While it’s not a new venture for me I wanted to give my modeling and corporate photography its own portfolio.

I’m proud to announce my new site: Pose Well Studios.

POSE WELL - Jacksonville Fashion Photography, Headshots, Comp Cards, and Commercial Images by Agnes Lopez Photography

This site features my photographs of models, actors, musicians, businesspeople, and other personalities who come to me for headshots, comp cards, and advertisements. Over the past couple years I’ve photographed hundreds of models and actors, some just starting out and others who went on to work overseas and in television. I’ve also produced images for corporate annual reports and advertisements.

There just wasn’t enough room on my wedding photography blog to showcase all of the work I do during the week, in between weddings! So be sure to bookmark the Pose Well site and blog and contact me for headshots, comps, and promo images if you’re in the Northeast Florida region.

It’s finally here!

As you can see I have a brand new logo and have updated my website with an all-new set of images for the front page.

And my new tag line:

Agnes Lopez Photography - Love & Luxury

A little while back I put together a shoot to replace the front of my website and here are some outtakes and shots that I didn’t choose for the front of the site — but still really liked anyway!

If you’re a regular reader of my blog you may remember the model, Kelsey. I shot her comp card and she was one of the models that took advantage of the location shoot. I was so impressed by her and I knew she would be perfect model for launching my brand new site!

Victoria Boyles from Salon d’Orsay did the killer hair and (as always) Jackie Neal did an awesome job with the make up.

Tagged — I’m it!

A fellow Xtreme! Seminar alum and Kansas City wedding photographer Rebecca from RPeters Photography tagged me in a blog game that started somewhere up the line of photographer blogs.

The rules are for me to share eight interesting facts about me, and pass this along to eight other photographers to do the same. So here we go:

  1. I’ve spent the last 11 months gutting and completely rehabbing a two-story 85-year-old house with my husband so that we can eventually move in.
  2. I absolutely love a good steak!
  3. In 2003 I went to New York Fashion Week and had an all-access VIP pass for all of the runway shows and private parties. Some of the shows I saw were Carmen Marc Valvo, Narciso Rodriguez, Diesel, and spent some time in the Vera Wang tent. I racked up on the luxury giveaways at the shows!
  4. I don’t even know how many pairs of shoes I own, but let’s just say it’s a lot. I have at least 18 pairs of boots.
  5. I drive a 2006 Seaside Pearl Toyota Prius. My best miles-per-gallon tank so far is 59 MPG.
  6. My first job was as a sales associate at Stein Mart.
  7. My first camera was a Minolta Maxxum 9000.
  8. I’m the tallest member of my family (and I’m 5′4″).

To keep the game going I’ll tag the following photographers:

Thanks again to Rebecca for the the inspiration to do a personal post to my blog. I never seem to have time for that!
