Bridal: Vy

Within the first five minutes I knew we had the shot. Vy looked absolutely stunning in her bridal shoot.

Her dress is really something amazing. It’s a custom-made silk shantung gown with silk charmeuse lining, hand-sewn metallic trim, individually set metallic rhinestones, and a detachable train.

The best part about it is Vy’s mother, Hanh Nguyen, made all of it. It helps that Vy’s mother has been making dresses professionally for many years and she’s made dresses for Dancing with the Stars!

Bridal Shoot: Kristen

I can finally share Kristen’s bridal shoot now that she’s married.

Kristen’s dress is an elegant Vera Wang so we stayed at the studio to make sure it stayed perfect for her wedding, which was an equally elegant event.

I think we got enough location shots during Kristen and Matt’s engagement shoot.

Bridal Shoot: Sarah

Sarah is finally married!

Sarah’s bridal shoot took place near Amelia Island in historic Downtown Fernandina Beach.

If Sarah’s incredible dress looks familiar it is because it is by Amsale and was in the movie 27 Dresses. Sarah actually picked out her dress before the movie came out, but the fact that it showed up in a Hollywood feature film is definitely a testament to her great taste. I even remember commenting on how cute it was when I watched the movie in the theaters. It was simple but elegant and those cute pockets were perfect for something like a handkerchief for those emotional moments.

We had a great time shooting around town and at the historic court house. Our timing was perfect, the judge saw us shooting outside and invited us to shoot on the balcony. The setting was perfect and we had our own natural wind machine!

Bridal Shoot: Callie

Wow. Another fabulous bridal shoot.

I met this bride, Callie, through her sister, who is a model I photographed a while back. I’m so sad that I was already booked for Callie’s wedding date but at the same time I was so excited that she wanted me to do her bridal shoot.

The modeling gene must run in the family because she was such a natural and classic beauty in front of the camera.

Bridal Shoot: Lauren

If you know me you know how much I absolutely love doing bridal shoots.

Lauren and I did her bridal shoot a little while after her wedding and towards the end she really started to have some fun!

Bridal Shoot: Laura

I absolutely love doing bridal shoots. They give me the opportunity to take my time with brides and use cool and interesting locations that bring out their personality.

The only thing I don’t like about the bridal shoots is that I have to keep the images hidden until after the wedding!

Thankfully, Laura and her new husband Scott were married yesterday so I can finally post the images from her shoot.

Bridal Shoot: Abi Devera

I have to start by saying how lucky I am to have such wonderful and beautiful clients. Abi and her husband Joseph are no exception.

Abi’s bridal session was from the same week where she and her husband did that awesome engagement shoot. I have been waiting and waiting for Abi’s wedding so I could finally post these bridal pictures. You definitely want to stay tuned for her wedding — it was incredible!

As always Jackie Neal did an amazing job on the make-up.

Video: Day After Shoot

A while back I shot a promo video for my website and it’s finally ready.

You may recognize the couple, Melissa and Sebastian, from an engagement shoot I did in November. Yes, they are a real couple — I know they look like models but they are real!

They were married on a cruise several months ago and I was not able to shoot their wedding, but thought it would be fun to do a “Day After Session”.

It wasn’t actually the day after their wedding, but thats what we call it. If you’re a bride I think you should really consider a “Day After Session” because it gives you another reason to wear your dress again and we are able to take our time and create some really awesome shots that you usually don’t have the time for on your wedding day.

I had such a blast putting the video together. Even though it rained horribly all day we were still able to get some killer shots.

Jenny from Turner Classic Weddings did the video. She worked so hard and I couldn’t believe how dedicated she was to get the shots — even during the pouring rain. Thanks so much to Victoria Boyles from Salon d’Orsay, who did an amazing job on the hair. And of course, thanks go to my right hand woman Jackie Neal for doing such flawless make up.

Here are some images from the shoot but if you want to see more check out the video at the end of this post!

Agnes Lopez Promo Shoot (Bridal)

Bridal: Sister Sister!

Hannah and Rachel are a pair of sisters that had weddings within months of each other and thought it would be fun to do their bridal shoots together. We had so much fun and spent all day going around the city to different locations.

I had been waiting to post these until both sisters had their weddings. Since I just finished photographing Hannah’s wedding earlier this evening I can finally post the bridal shoot pictures of them!

I always love working with Jackie Neal, who did the makeup. She always brings great energy to my shoots. Thanks also to Hannah & Rachel’s mom Amelia for keeping things so lively and exciting the whole time.

Bridal Shoot: Lana

Lana was such a great model!

She could grace the cover of any fashion magazine in her stunning Alvina Valenta dress and natural style.

But getting Lana and the dress together for the shoot proved to be a bit of a challenge.

On the day of the shoot the dress was accidentally left behind, over two hours away from my studio in Jacksonville.

Luckily her sister came to the rescue and met halfway with Lana?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢s dress in Starke and turned around and drove 45 minutes back with the dress in tow.

We had a lot of fun doing the bridal session. First we took some pictures against the backdrop you see above. Next we went across the river to San Marco,
tried out some different locations, and then raced to a quiet out-of-the-way park before sunset.

Lana was dedicated and willing to follow me to some off-beat locations and I think the results were well worth it.

I?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢m hard at work on Lana & Blake?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢s amazing wedding pictures. Stay tuned for those in the next couple of weeks!
