Wedding: Nancy & Peter

Ceremony & Reception: The Greyfield Inn — Cumberland Island, GA

Peter has a fascination with islands. He lives in Brooklyn and Nancy lived in Philadelphia, so when they heard about the very remote and romantic Greyfield Inn, located off of the coast of Georgia on Cumberland Island, they knew it would be the perfect destination for their wedding.

Cliché I know, but it really is a place where time seems to stand still. The Greyfield Inn has a large porch with rocking chairs that go extremely well with the fresh lemonade and “Sweetest Sweet Tea of the South” served in the kitchen downstairs. Wild horses routinely pass right by the front of the inn and, most importantly, there is virtually no cell phone reception anywhere on the island.

After the ceremony on the front lawn, one of the family members who runs the inn was kind enough to take us to the private beach across the island in his safari-tested Land Rover he just recently brought over from Africa.

Thank you so much, Nancy and Peter, for taking me away to such an amazing location!

Featured at the Casa Monica Hotel’s Wedding Blog

I’m so lucky that I live near one of the most romantic cities in the U.S., St. Augustine, Florida. So many of my past clients have traveled from far away to get married there, with most choosing the Casa Monica Hotel to host their reception .

St. Augustine has brought me couples all the way from Chicago, Arkansas, Miami, New York, and Louisiana. There’s just something about destination weddings to St. Augustine that makes everything much more exciting.

The Casa Monica Hotel recently updated their wedding website launched a blog to showcase their awesome facilities and past events. Some of my past weddings there were featured.

I always love shooting at the Casa Monica. Megan and the staff are always a pleasure to work with. If you’re planning a wedding in St. Augustine check out the Casa Monica’s new blog!

If you’ve been following this blog you’ll recognize Abi & Joseph. They were the wedding that everyone has been waiting for. They had over 300 guests and took over the grand ballroom at Downtown Jacksonville’s Omni Hotel.

For me, Abi & Joseph’s wedding was the event of the year. I think it was the most pictures I have ever taken at a wedding.

Between the wedding, bridal shoot, and the “cinematic” engagement shoot, Abi & Joseph really inspired me to think big… like the 5-foot by 8-foot canvas print they displayed of their engagement picture at the reception!

To see more, check out the slideshow by clicking here or on the picture below.

Here’s the 5×8 foot canvas from across the ballroom…

And here’s the original that we kept a surprise until the big unveiling at the wedding…

…and here’s a fun shot of some guests’ take on the Abi & Joseph pose.

Here is one of 300 individually decorated mini-cakes for the guests to take home.

At the end of the night they did the “Montana Hug”.

It’s always great to work with the incredibly creative videographers from Simply Cinematic, Eric and Rainer. They showed a same-day video of Abi and Joseph’s wedding at the reception and it was amazing!

Agnes Lopez Photography in The Knot Magazine — AGAIN!

I’m so excited that my work was chosen to be featured in The Knot!

This is my second time making the cut for the print edition. Unfortunately getting into the magazine meant I couldn’t post the pictures until after it hit newsstands. That was tough!

Caryn & Glen were married in Crescent Beach, Florida. They came down from Washington, D.C. with a bunch of family and friends and had a beautiful ceremony on the beach under a silk-fabric chuppah. Music was provided by Rebecca Zapen & The Gary Starling Group.

They are my current Featured Wedding.

Featured Wedding: Caryn & Glen

Back in May I photographed a destination wedding in Crescent Beach, just outside of St. Augustine, Florida. Caryn & Glen were an awesome couple who put together one of the most colorful and unique ceremonies I’ve ever seen! You can read more about the ceremony in the Florida edition of The Knot, though I have a lot more pictures in the Featured Wedding section.

You can see them by clicking here or on the picture below.

Courtney & Shane were such a natural, fun couple! It’s pretty easy to tell how excited they were about getting married…

By the way, Courtney’s dress is by Vera Wang.

Tawanna & Jay: A Thursday wedding at the Beach

Beach weddings are always so picturesque!

Tawanna & Jay were married on a Thursday a few weeks ago. Shooting a Thursday wedding was a first for Agnes, but the date was special — it was the day the couple got engaged one year before!
