“Minority women-owned businesses such as Agnes Lopez Photography are growing faster than others”

I did an interview with the Jacksonville Business Journal about my photography business a couple of weeks ago. The focus of the article was on the growth of minority women-owned businesses.

I’m so excited! I had no idea I would be on the cover and get a full page. Pick up a copy if you get a chance!

A link to the article is here but unfortunately the JBJ doesn’t have the whole article online.

Images from the Location Shoot

I held a Location Shoot on January 6, 2007 at the Seawalk Hotel in Jacksonville Beach for up-and-coming models looking to build their portfolios with pictures at an awesome location. I had the help of the amazing make-up artist Jackie Neal.

I know quite a few people were interested but couldn’t make the dates for the first shoot, so I’m planning the next one for some time in the near future. If you’re interested let me know by sending an email to me: agnes@agneslopez.com.

Here are some pictures of Kayla, one of the models who really did an awesome job in front of the camera for her first test shoot!

Agnes Lopez Photography in The Knot Magazine — AGAIN!

I’m so excited that my work was chosen to be featured in The Knot!

This is my second time making the cut for the print edition. Unfortunately getting into the magazine meant I couldn’t post the pictures until after it hit newsstands. That was tough!

Caryn & Glen were married in Crescent Beach, Florida. They came down from Washington, D.C. with a bunch of family and friends and had a beautiful ceremony on the beach under a silk-fabric chuppah. Music was provided by Rebecca Zapen & The Gary Starling Group.

They are my current Featured Wedding.

Glamour Shoots

Sometimes clients ask me to do a calendar shoot. They want to be a model for a day and take some pictures for their spouse or boyfriend.

It’s always a lot of fun and I think it’s a pretty cool and personal gift. So ladies, start thinking about those birthday and Valentine’s Day gifts for your special someone!

Back to work!

Sorry about the lack of updates. Agnes was on vacation last week in Italy (during all of the World Cup madness!) and decided to take a break from blogging — but not photography!

Here are some pictures from Venice, Milan, and Rome. The crazy people on scooters and hanging out of cars are some of the excited Romans after Italy beat Germany in the World Cup semifinals.
