Some readers may recognize this shoot at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra, as it was featured online at Style Me Pretty in the “From Inspiration to Reality” series (and also on this blog). If not, check out Style Me Pretty for even more images and a making-of video!
I also want to give a special thanks to everyone who made the shoot possible:
Here is the winter-themed shoot that was featured in Jacksonville Magazine’s Bride.

I was itching to do some studio lighting so we did a quick test with Tyler. I was so impressed by Tyler because she really knew how to work the camera. I gave her very little instruction and every pose was great.

The lovely Bridgham was in town for a brief moment to spend the day with us and model for a shoot at a beautiful Tudor House on the river in Jacksonville. This house was so perfect it looked like it had been frozen in time or right out of a story book.
I love getting together with such an awesome team of people, Jackie, Grazyna, Eric and Liza. We always have a blast and I am in such awe of everyone’s individual talents and creativity.

Kelsey just recently signed with Ford Models and is now living and working in New York. She first hired me to do her compcards when she was 16 and I have been photographing her throughout the years for magazine, website, and personal projects.
I knew she could do it and I am so proud of her. Here is a look back at Kelsey over the years.

The team from Collab Creations Films put together this behind-the-scenes video that is so cool I really thought it stole the show.
Thanks again to everyone involved in the shoot as well as Style Me Pretty for giving us Inspiration to Reality as a venue for our creative effort. I had a great time and hope to do it again soon!

The event designer, the incomparable Liza Chung, just blew me away with the level of detail and creativity she brought to the challenge, as did cake designer Jaycel Adkins of the Etiquette of Chocolate and Chef Michael McMillan of Opus 39 Restaurant & Food Gallery in St. Augustine.
Liza’s said this about the shoot and the ideas she drew from the inspiration board:
“We chose the board because we are drawn to all things luxury and fashionable. We adored the Vera wang gown and authenticity of the styling with vintage frames. The florals spoke softly of winter and we love beautiful jewels and couture shoes. The board allowed for our own interpretation to expand to a realm of high style bridal fantasy.”
Here is the set she designed along with the food displays from Opus 39 and Etiquette of Chocolate.
The custom fur envelope was created by Liza. The invitation is from the Vera Wang Collection.

Readers of Style Me Pretty, a fantastic wedding blog that receives over 3 million views a month, were given the opportunity to create their own wedding inspiration boards for the chance to be chosen for a photo shoot that would bring their inspiration board to life.
For us, Inspiration to Reality was amazing timing because we had been discussing ideas for our next project on the same day that Abby from Style Me Pretty had asked Little Black Book members about participating.
Now that Style Me Pretty has had the chance to show off the shoot I wanted to feature it on my blog and go into a little more detail about the shoot and all of the incredibly creative people that made it happen.
The Inspiration
A Style Me Pretty reader from South Africa created a board titled “This Is Fashion” and we were instantly in love with it and the possibilities it offered to us for the shoot. We could incorporate the fashion and glamorous elements that we love to see in weddings as well as bringing a winter theme — with snow in Florida — to the concept.
The Creative Team
Since we had so much fun on the Bridal Fashion Shoot a few months back I thought it would be great to get the team back together to see if we could take what we learned during our previous experience and have even more success than our previous collaboration.
Kelsey wore a stunning Vera Wang gown with a custom hairpiece.
Courtney wore a Carolina Herrera gown and looked amazing as “snow” was tossed around her.
Desiree, Chelsea, and Aerin wore Priscilla of Boston bridesmaid dresses from one of our favorite local shops, Bella Bridesmaid.
